We think that it is even more abhorrent, this illegal trade fuels a hidden underworld of modern slavery, with vulnerable individuals being trafficked and forced into dangerous and exploitative conditions in illicit cannabis grows across the UK. We think it’s time for the UK to face this reality and implement a responsible, regulated cannabis market that prioritises public health, safety, and informed choice over the failing status quo, and actively works to dismantle the criminal enterprises that profit from human suffering
